My wife, Debbie, and I bought our first property in 1999 and quickly realized that this was a great investment tool that would enable us to retire early. Since then, we have developed a huge passion for property.

We started investing using our own money, then learned how to use the bank’s money, and also how to purchase property with no money down. What we have realized is that although almost anyone can make money in a boom, the trick is to know how to make the most of the market at any stage in the property cycle and avoid the mistakes that most new investors make simply because they don’t know what it is that they don’t know yet, until it is too late.

As the property market has changed, we have been able to change with it because of the education that we have developed over the years. We have continued to grow our portfolio throughout the different stages of the property cycle, because we built a foundation portfolio based on cash flow and low-risk strategies.
